There is a chapter in one of the books I got in my bridal shower titled “Your Hubby, Her Baby”, and has a quote from Ruth 2:11-12. It says,
11 Boaz replied, “I’ve been told all about what you have done ……live with a people you did not know before. 12 May the LORD repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.”
This is I admit a tricky area for some, but I thank God for mine. She is a lovely woman and I have nothing but praise for her. H and I were friends for many years, so she knew me from before and apparently she always knew we would end up together he he he.
I love her for the great job she did of raising her son and daughters, she is God fearing and walks the talk, and is one of my biggest role models of how to be a good wife. I pray I will always rememember 1 Cor 13 on what love is and act that way to others.
I know and have seen that it is easy to fall into the trap of feeling jealous of the bond a mother in law shares with her son but may I always remember he is my hubby, her baby :-).
